Challanges
Lucidus Design is a furniture showroom and retailer representing premium European brands like Borzalino, Cattelan Italia, B&T, and Domkapa. Despite carrying a curated selection of high end designer furniture, their online presence didn't match the quality of products they sell.
The existing website was built around a gallery-style layout that looked more like a portfolio than a place to shop. There was no clear product structure, visitors couldn't filter by brand, category, or product type, making it difficult to find specific items. Product pages lacked the detail buyers need when considering premium furniture: material options, dimensions, and pricing were either missing or hard to find.
The site also had no e-commerce functionality, no shopping cart, no checkout, no user accounts. For a business selling products priced at €500 and above, the entire purchase journey relied on phone calls and emails, creating friction that turned potential customers away. On mobile, the experience was even worse, layouts broke, images were unoptimized, and navigation became frustrating.
Lucidus needed more than a visual refresh, they needed a complete digital transformation: from a static showcase into a fully functional online store that reflects the premium positioning of the brands they carry.

Solution
We redesigned the entire Lucidus digital experience from the ground up, starting with a full UX audit and ending with a production ready e-commerce design system.
Homepage & Brand Experience. The new homepage opens with a full screen hero showcasing the latest collection, immediately setting a premium tone. A curated brand carousel highlights partner brands, while product category navigation lets visitors jump straight to designer furniture, lighting, accessories, or project solutions.
Brand Pages. Each furniture brand now has its own dedicated page featuring brand identity, product gallery, and direct filtering by product type, giving premium partners like Borzalino and B&T the presentation they deserve.
E-Commerce Functionality. We designed a complete shopping experience that didn't exist before: product catalog with category filtering, detailed product pages with material swatches, color options, and multiple image views, a functional shopping cart with real-time updates, user accounts with Sign In and Pro Client access for B2B buyers, and a streamlined checkout flow.
Product Pages. Each product page was designed to sell, featuring high-quality imagery, clear pricing, material and size specifications, breadcrumb navigation, and quick actions for requesting a consultation or ordering a custom product.
Content & Trust. We added sections that the original site was missing entirely: a team page with real photos and contact details, customer testimonials, an articles & resources blog, best-selling product highlights, and key statistics (100+ realized projects, 98% client satisfaction, 40+ brands).
Responsive Design. Every screen was designed mobile-first, ensuring the premium shopping experience translates perfectly to phones and tablets, where an increasing share of their customers browse.
The result is a modern e-commerce platform that finally matches the quality of the brands Lucidus represents, designed to increase product discovery, simplify the buying journey, and convert showroom visitors into online customers.
