Challanges
Lucidus Design is a furniture showroom and retailer representing premium European brands.
The existing website was built around a gallery-style layout that felt more like a portfolio than a place to shop. There was no clear product structure, and visitors couldn’t filter by brand, category, or product type, making it difficult to find specific items. Product pages lacked the level of detail shoppers needed when evaluating a product.
The website also lacked e-commerce functionality, with no shopping cart, checkout, or user accounts. For a company that sells products priced at €500 and up, the entire purchase journey was based on phone calls and emails, creating hurdles that turned potential customers off.
On the mobile version, layouts collapsed and navigation became difficult to use.
Solution
We redesigned the entire Lucidus digital experience, from a full UX audit to an e-commerce design system.
We created separate brand pages for each partner, detailed product cards with material samples, color and size options, filters by category, type and brand, as well as a responsive mobile-first design.
We implemented a full e-commerce flow with a functional cart, checkout process and user accounts with Pro Client access for B2B buyers. The purchase path is now understandable and can be completed in a few clicks, without the need to write emails or wait for a call, which speeds up decision-making and increases the number of completed purchases.
