Challenges

The Volkswagen dealership in Latvia needed to move away from paper catalogs and transition to a modern, eco-friendly digital solution.


The main challenge was to build a B2B portal where dealers could conveniently order car accessories, while also allowing end users to browse the offering and submit a request to pick up the product at their nearest showroom.


From a UX perspective, the task was to find a balance between two distinct user types, professional dealers and regular customers, within a single interface, while staying compatible with Magento 2's standard capabilities.

Solution

I designed the UX structure and UI for a B2B e-commerce store built on the Magento 2 platform. The user journey was crafted so that dealers could quickly locate and order the accessories they needed, while end customers could browse the catalog, send a request to their preferred dealer center, and receive a callback in the way most convenient for them. For the product catalog's visual presentation, I used a masonry grid layout, giving the page a dynamic rhythm and effectively highlighting product images of varying formats.
